This series of bird ornaments all feature hand-drawn images by Jenni Denekas. These mischievous little guys are gray jays, a.k.a. Canada jays, a.k.a. camp robbers (Perisoreus canadensis).
Gray jays flock to popular trails in north America’s mountains to beg for, or steal, food from hikers.* It’s not a good idea to feed wildlife (see Leave No Trace principles here), but it is undeniably magical to put a morsel of food in your hand, lift up your arm, and have an adorable bird land on you!
